The debut album by Ross is a strangely light sounding delve into the post punk electronic industrial music sound of the late 70s-early 80s, the music that Ross grew up on. However, this is not a homage. It is an album that can stand on its own while looking to the past for its roots.
Recorded live in the studio using primarily analog equipment, loops, and some acoustic instruments, Hoarse manages to sound electronic and feel organic.
